Where to Wire Trailer Brake Controller In 2017 Chevrolet Traverse

Question:

Im trying to locate brake controller plug under dash. Vehicle does have 7 wire plug on passenger side rear of vehicle. If it has 7 way, does vehicle automatically have brake controller plug under drivers side panel?

I took a look at your owner's manual and the 2017 Chevrolet Traverse has a bundle of blunt cut wires behind the instrument panel above the parking brake assembly for the electric trailer to wire a brake controller to. According to the owner's manual the harness contains the following wires:

red/black: power supply
white: brake switch signal
gray: illumination
black: ground

The wires with the corresponding functions from the brake controller adapter like the one included with part # 90195 need to be connected to the wires found behind the instrument panel. From all of my research there is not an actual port to plug an adapter into on your 2017 Chevrolet Traverse.
