If your 2003 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD has the factory 7-way connector at the rear of the truck and it has a bed at least 6 ft long, and is not a flareside/stepside, the fifth wheel hitch that includes the wiring for the bed of your truck I recommend is the Reese 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ Wiring Harness, part # RP30033. This hitch has a gross towing weight capacity of 22,000 lbs.
If you are looking for a hitch with a smaller towing weight capacity, the wiring harness will need to be purchased separately. I recommend Tte Pollak 5th Wheel / Gooseneck T-Connector with 7-Pole, part # PK11893-11932. I have included a link to an installation video for this wiring harness you can check out.
For a system that has a gross towing weight capacity of 16,000 lbs I recommend part # RP30047. The custom rail installation kit I recommend is part # RP56007-53. This kit cuts the installation time in half versus using standard brackets.
I have attached a video for the Pro-Series Hitch and I have also attached a helpful article about fifth wheel hitches.
