7-Way Adapter For Using Prodigy RF On A 2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser With A 4-Flat Plug

Question:

Yes I have a 2007 fj cruiser with a flat four pin plug. I have purchased a prodigy FR wireless brake controller. I’m just not sure which 7 pin adapter to use. I will be towing a small Rv trailer with battery. I did order miady 4 way flat to 7 pin round . But not sure the prodigy FR will work . Need help lol

Hello Eduard. So, the miady adapter that you mentioned is not going to work with the Prodigy RF brake controller. Reason being, that adapter has brake light and turn signal functions only. In order to use the Prodigy RF, the 7-way plug also needs to have 12v power run to the 1:00 pin of the 7-way. I suggest instead using an adapter like the Curt Trailer Connector Adapter # C57672. This will have all of the brake light and taillight functions, and it will also allow you to run 12v power from the vehicles battery to the 7-way. This step will be necessary in order to use the Prodigy RF controller.

I have included a link to our installation video below.
