Does Fascia of 2012 Town and Country Need to be Trimmed to Install Curt Trailer Hitch # 13364
Question:
I have a 2012 Town and Country. I would like a class 3 hitch. The Curt is appealing over the Draw-Tite due to cost, but the Curt instructions say some fascia may need to be trimmed. Do you know if fascia needs to be trimmed back to fit the Curt? I reviewed your YouTube video on a 2013 Town and Country and it appeared no trimming was needed. Thank you.

I spoke to my contact at CURT who said some minor trimming of the fascia is required for the hitch installation on your 2012 Town and Country, otherwise the receiver will impinge on the bumper cover.
The area that needs to be trimmed is 2-3/4 inch wide by 1/2 inch tall.
I have included a diagram of the area that needs to be trimmed as well as a link to installation details.
The Draw-Tite # 75579 is a Class III trailer hitch that will not require trimming. I have linked the instructions for you to check out.
