Comparing The Curt # C13293 And etrailer # e36AR Trailer Hitches For A 2017 GMC Acadia SLT-2
Question:
Which trailer hitch will fit my 2017 GMC Acadia SLT-2 better, #e36AR or C13293? The listing did not ask for the sub-model SLT-2. Thank you.

Helpful Expert Reply:
The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13293 and etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e36AR are actually the exact same hitch, just with different paint finishes. Both hitches are compatible with your SLT-2 sub model so it's just going to come down to which finish you prefer. The Curt # C13293 has a shiny gloss black finish and the etrailer # e36AR has a matte black finish. I personally prefer the matte black since it does a better job hiding scratches and tends to blend in better with the fascia.
If you plan on towing a trailer with your 2017 GMC Acadia then you'll also need to pick up a wire harness like the Curt # C56325 if you have a factory tow package or the Curt # C59236 if you do not have the factory tow package. These wire harnesses will allow you to plug into your trailer and transfer your Acadia's traffic signals through to the tail lights on the trailer.
