Question:

I have a trailer that has 5200 pound axles I’m looking to replace brakes and drums I’m looking at your Dexter drum K08-201-9B and it states it’s for 6000 pound axles it has the same bearings that I have now will it fit my axle and if so what self adjusting brakes would you recommend thank you

Weight ratings are a little weird when it comes to hub/drum assemblies but as long as the bearings and the inner diameter of the seal (2.250") that comes with the Dexter Trailer Hub and Drum Assembly - 6,000 lb E-Z Lube Axles # K08-201-9B matches what you have then this will definitely work for you!

When it comes to the brakes you can either use the 12" Dexter Nev-R-Adjust Electric Trailer Brakes # 23-458-459 or the 12" etrailer Electric Trailer Brakes # AKEBRK-7-SA. They both fit the same way it just depends on if you want to stick with the Dexter Axle brand or not.
