Best Way to Install 4-Way/7-Way Wiring Harness on a 2019 Ford Ranger

Question:

I have installed a Redarc Tow-Pro Elite trailer brake controller on my 2019 Ranger without factory tow package. The brake controller is connected to the four factory wires just above the driver-side kick panel and the Redarc brake control switch is connected and mounted where the left 12v power receptacle was just like your install video. I have also installed a Hopkins 4 to 7-pin trailer adapter HM47180. This adapter has the standard 7 colored wires that hookup to the factory wiring harness located in the left rear corner which I have confirmed is there. I need a harness that plugs into the factory plug on one end and the 7 colored wires on the other end to connect to the Hopkins 7-pin. Please send me the harness ID AND part number to order. Sorry for this long-winded message, but hopefully theres enough info to recommend the correct harness to complete the job. Thank you for taking time to help.

Sounds like you've done a great job at installing the Redarc Tow-Pro Elite # RED44FR, and that you're on the right track when it comes to installing the Hopkins Endurance Multi-Tow Plug # HM47180 on your 2019 Ford Ranger!

To wrap up your installation I actually recommend picking up the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness # C56431 and then removing the 7-Way plug and replacing it with the Hopkins 4-Way/7-Way since they both have the US CAR connector at the back. Simply unplug the Hopkins where the wires are going in and you can pop that end on the T-Connector and you'll be good to go!

This won't be as cost-effective as splicing your wiring in, but it does mean you aren't hacking up the OEM wiring on your Ranger. Aside from this we don't have a layout of the wiring on your Ranger so you'll have to use a circuit tester and probe the various wires at the back of your Ranger to make your connections.
