Can i use this element to replace one for a suburban water heater? Part number 520789

The Camco RV Replacement Water Heater Element # CAM02143, according to Camco, is a fit for a range of water heater brands. The gasket is included.

The unit screws in with a 1-1/4-inch diameter threaded portion and its overall length end to end is 6-1/4-inches. When removing the original element and installing the new unit, be sure to follow the safety precautions outlined on the packaging and/or as noted by the manufacturer of your water heater or RV.

According to Camco this replacement heater element works with residential water heaters from many prominent manufacturers, including but not limited to GE, Kenmore, Maytag, Rheem and Whirlpool. The Suburban brand is not specifically noted.

I was easily able to find the Suburban part 520789 that you referenced in an internet search but I could not verify its dimensions in order to compare the size to the Camco unit. They do appear quite similar in appearance.
