Are The Trunnion Spring Bars Of A Fastway E2 Weight Distribution Hitch Interchangeable
Question:
If I have a 8000lbs e2 trunnion system can I upgrade it to 12000 by purchasing the appropriate bars and trunnions?

Expert Reply:
The trunnion head # FA92-02-1255 for your Fastway e2 Weight Distribution w/ 2-Point Sway Control # FA92-00-0800 is the same one used on the 6,000-lb, 8,000-lb, 10,000-lb, or 12,000-lb systems so you can just swap out your spring bars for part # FA92-02-1299 and trunnions with part # FA92-02-1244 to increase the capacity of the hitch. You'll just want to doublecheck that your shank and hitch ball are rated for 12,000lbs as well.
If not you can use part # FA92-02-4100 for the shank and part # EQ91-00-6120 for the hitch ball.
