Want to install a class 3 hitch and 7 way wiring harness on a 2018 Toyota Highlander LE plus. What parts do you recommend? I want electric brake controller. Thanks

I recommend installing the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e98844 on your 2018 Toyota Highlander LE Plus. This receiver is capable of being used with a Weight Distribution Hitch # FA92-00-0800 to make towing heavy loads safer. This weight distribution helps to reduce rear end sag reducing the diminished braking and steering feel, and it has sway control built in to help keep the trailer tracking straight.

The Tekonsha OEM Replacement Vehicle Wiring Harness # 22119 contains all the wiring needed to install a 7-way on your Highlander. It includes the brake controller wiring allowing you to install the Redarc Tow-Pro Elite Brake Controller # RED63RR. I recommend this controller as it will plug and play with the Tekonsha wiring and you can use the Mounting Panel # 331-TPSI-002 to mount it in one of the blank switch covers on your dash.
