What is the Difference Between Double Eye Leaf Springs and Slipper Leaf Springs
Question:
I am rebuilding my PWC trailer. I need new leaf springs. The ones I just removed are Open ended 26 springs. My question..... What is the difference between open ended and closed? I am looking at purchasing 4-Leaf Double-Eye Spring for 2,000-lb Trailer Axles - 26 inch Long. Thank you.

The difference is found in the application. The Slipper Spring styles, like part # SP-179275, are intended for use with more heavy duty applications, while the Double Eye styles, like part # e77SR are used to provide a more comfortable ride.
The part # e77SR that you referenced will be the correct fit if your current leaf springs are 26 inches long from the center of the attachments points (usually known as eye-center-to-eye-center).
You might also still be needing a U-Bolt mounting kit, like part # APUBR-10, and a Single-Axle Trailer Hangers Kit , like part # APS1. I have also included a link to our hanger kit product page so that you can choose which kit will work best for your application.
