What Makes 5200lb and 6000lb Dexter Axles Different Capacity?

Expert Reply:

The thickness of the tube is not any different as they are both 3 inch diameter, and the spindles are also the same utilizing the same inner diameter bearings, hubs, and seals. The difference in capacity is in the custom bend in the axle that creates the zero camber angle for even road to tread contact.

To the naked eye there is no difference between the Dexter Trailer Axle Beam with E-Z Lube Spindles - 95" Long - 6,000 lbs # 7461121 and the Dexter Trailer Axle Beam with E-Z Lube Spindles - 95" Long - 5,200 lbs # 6340624.
