Testing Tail Light Wires on a 2007 Chevy Monte Carlo to Install a Trailer Wiring Harness
Question:
Whar tail light wire colors attach to what colors in trailer wire kit?

Expert Reply:
You have to test the tail light wires on your 2007 Chevy Monte Carlo to determine their functions and then splice them to the trailer wiring harness # 18252 accordingly. There is no standard wiring color code and we have not installed this harness on a 2007 Monte Carlo yet so testing is required. That is why it comes with a little circuit tester.
You can follow the procedure in the video I have linked. Please note that the wire colors on your vehicle could be completely different.
Once you have determined the wire functions on the vehicle you can attach the harness. The white wire is ground, brown is running lights, yellow is left turn and brake lights, and green is right turn and brake lights.
