New 4.80-12 Spare Trailer Tire is 1/2 Inch Taller than Other 4.80-12 Tires

I have 4.8-12 tires on my boat trailer that seem to be a smaller outside diameter then the spare I just bought that is a 4.8-12 Carslile tire appears to be only by a 1/2 inch or so but will it be ok for a spare and will the trailer pull ok if I need to use the spare?

Any given 2 tires of the same size are going to be slightly different in width in diameter. The 1/2 inch difference is not going to be an issue if used as a spare. It would only be over the long term that you might run into issues. So yes, as a spare, you are good to go.
