Larger Tire Size Recommendation to Replace 4.80-12 to Gain Ground Clearance
Question:
I have a magic tilt galvanized jet ski trailer with 4.8-12 5lug tires. It sits so low that when I pull out my driveway, the license plate drags on the concrete. What is the next size up wheel option to raise the trailer a little?

Expert Reply:
If you go to a 5.30-12 inch tire size you'd gain 1.4 inches overall over your current size of 4.80-12. Also this tire size will fit the wheels you currently have as well. For that we have the Taskmaster part # TT53012C which would be a great option. It has a weight capacity of 1,050 lbs at 80 psi and a speed rating of 81 mph.
