Is 4-Bolt Brake Flange Needed to Install 3,500 lb Hub & Drum AKHD-655-35-K
Question:
I’m rebuilding a 1970s Manorette camper. # AKHD-655-35-K has the dimensions I need. My existing hum and drum assembly has a four bolt pattern to attach it to a plate on the back side. I did not see this called out on the website. Do I need to use them?

Good question but no, the 4-bolt brake flange is not a requirement to install the Trailer Hub and Drum Assembly - 3,500-lb Axles # AKHD-655-35-K.
The hub will still fit your spindle and install just fine, but you will need that 4-bolt brake flange if you were also installing brakes that fit the hub like the Dexter Hydraulic Trailer Brake Kit # 23-312-313 or Dexter Electric Trailer Brake Kit # 23-26-27.
