Recommended Method to Carry a 20-lb and 30-lb Propane Tank Together

Can I convert my dual 30 pound propane tank holder to carry one 20 pound and one 30 pound tank?

Since the threaded rod for your Complete Propane Tank Holder Mounting Kit for 30-lb Tank # 37230BL will be too long for the 20-lb tanks you wouldn't be able to use both a 20-lb and 30-lb tank together.
Your best bet would be to use two propane holders like the Single-Bottle Liquid Propane Gas Rack # 2020-JR which can work with both 20-lb and 30-lb tanks.
