Will The RoadActive Suspension(RAS) Work With Timbren Jounce Springs on a 2018 Ford F-150?

Question:

I bought and installed a Timbren suspension system for my truck 2 years ago. I am considering the RAS system. Do I need to remove the Timben system and replace with the original bump stops? Or Can I just leave them and add the RAS system? Or, should I stay with what I have? Everything I have read indicates that RAS would be a much better solution. Thank you

I do recommend removing your Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement System # TFR1504E before you install either the 2,000LB # RAS3611-Y or 3,000LB # RAS3611-YHD RoadActive Suspension. The RAS mounts outside your u-bolts which is where the Timbren spring comes down to contact the axle. While there may be a small gap currently your rear end can float a bit side to side which may cause the jounce springs to contact the mounting arms which could damage both units.

I personally feel the RAS is a far superior system over the Timbren. The RAS gives you adjustability and does not have the harsh engagement you get when the Timbren comes into contact with the axle.
