Fastway e2 Weight Distribution Hitch Spacer Washers Minimum and Maximum For Hitch Head Angle

Question:

I am currently towing a 34 ft travel trailer 6200 dry weight, 7700 total weight passenger weight, gas, truckbed and inside camper with my 2019 Ram 1500 Crew Cab 8200 towing capacity. Trailer hitch weight is 710 but with additional weight in trailer and truck, its prob in the 900-1000 range. I had a prior travel trailer which was 2k lbs less and had the Fastway e2 800/8000lb weight distribution system towing with the same Ram truck. On my first trip with the new camper and above setup, I had several inches of squat. It hauled pretty decent but in some wind and getting passed by trucks, I felt slight movement. I then purchased Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement System ITEM # TDR1500DQ and Replacement Round Spring Bar for Fastway e2 Weight Distribution Systems - 1,000 lbs TW ITEM # FA94-02-1099. Attached are pics of the new setup and while the bars are not fully parallel with the frame L bracket is 1inch lower than hitch connector, it sits much better than prior. I did notice the trailer installer used 3 spacer washers and I am not sure if adding more will help. I also tried adjusting the L bracket to get the bar arms level but that increased the downward pitch. Interested in your thoughts on the above setup. Please see pics. The pic of truck bed with cargo was pre Timbrens and 800lb bars. All other pics are based on Timbrens installed and 1000lb bars. Thank you. It looks to me that you will want additional spacers to provide better weight distribution on your 2019 Ram 1500. The Fast Way e2 Weight-Distribution Hitch # FA94-00-1061 is capable of having up to 9 spacers to provide the correct pinion angle on the hitch head and provide adequate weight distribution. As you have done with the measurements that you have on the front of your Ram you can also do the same process on the rear axle. This will help you to dial in the exact amount of spacers to use.

Per the manufacturer instructions which I have linked below they recommend a minimum amount of 5 spacers to be used.
