Can Timbrens be Used with RoadActive Suspension Kit on 2011 Chevy Silverado

Question:

Can these be used in conjunction with the RAS 4611 leaf spring enchancement system? Or would it be overkill towing a 34 foot 9000 pound trailer? Thanks for you help.

For your 2011 Chevy Silverado I recommend starting with the RoadActive Suspension Kit # RAS4611 that you mentioned by itself to see how everything handles when pulling your 34 foot trailer.

It wouldn't necessarily be "overkill" to add the Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement System # TGMRTT15S (the two components can indeed be used together) but maybe more accurate to say that the Timbrens might not really be utilized if the RAS is doing its job. Because the Timbrens will replace the factory bump stops on your Silverado to add more support, they will only be used when the axle hits them, something that the RAS system is designed to prevent.

The RAS enhancement kit basically converts the factory leaf springs into a mechanically active system, strengthening the springs to provide improved ride quality and greatly reducing the chances of bottoming out. It features a 2,000 pound weight capacity which should be plenty to handle the tongue weight from your trailer.

If you find that additional support is needed after towing a few times with the RAS system in place then adding the Timbrens will be a good option.
