Best Suspension Enhancement for 2019 Ford F-150 Short Bed Towing Fifth Wheel Trailer

I have stepped down from an F-250 to an F-150 2019 Platinum Crew cab with 5.5foot box and noticed a considerable difference when towing my enclosed trailer. I am in the process of determining the correct 5th wheel slider hitch for my camper 6100 lbs. and after pulling my enclosed trailer, I knew I had to beef up my suspension. My 5th wheel has a pin box weight of approx 700 lbs. and the hitch will be close to 300 for approx 1000 lb. payload. By the numbers it sounds like I should be good to go with the 3611-Y. Just wanting to confirm

For what you plan to do with your 2019 Ford F-150 short bed I'd go with the higher capacity RoadActive Suspension kit part # RAS3611-YHD as the extra support will help.

You will need a slider hitch with more sliding clearance than usual since your bed is so short. For that we have the Demco Hijacker AutoSlide # DM8550040 which can slide up to 22-1/2 inches automatically. Most slide around half of this which would not be enough.

To install the hitch in the bed of the truck would then just require the correct rail kit which is the part # RP56034-53.
