Can A Lube Plate Be used With The Curt PowerRide 5th Wheel Hitch

i know that my new curt 30 PowerRide hitch comes with wear plates, my questions is can i leave my existing wear plate on my king pin or do i need to remove it thank you for your time

The Curt PowerRide 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch # C22ER does have replaceable wear plates # C52WR to eliminate the need for a lube plate on your king pin, but Curt does state that a 3/16" lube plate can still be used.
