Can you go over the final steps ... how to wire up my 7 way...

The Curt Trailer Connector for Ford and GM Trucks item # C57101 connects to existing wiring for a vehicle that came with a 7-way connector from the factory. You would just need to go behind your vehicle's 7-way connector, disconnect the tabs, remove the old connector from the wiring harness, plug your vehicles wiring harness into the back of the Curt connector, and then install it to the mounting bracket.

I have linked a video below that will show you all the steps I have explained.

If your vehicle did not come with a factory 7-way connector you will not have the correct wiring to use this.

Unless someone changed the wiring of the factory 7-way on your 2012 Ford F350 then it should be wired like the picture I attached. I think you might be referring to the release tab on the factory harness for your 7-way. Which if you check out the…

You would have to sever the wiring that is going to the backup alarm part of Curt Trailer Connector #C57101. You should be able to access the back of it by removing the screws that hold the alarm in place.
