Can the Backup Alarm be Disabled on Curt Trailer Connector for Ford and GM Trucks
Question:
Hello, my truck did not come with a flat plug, just a round one. I bought this unit because it has both. Is there a way to disconnect the backup alarm? I dont necessarily need it and is kinda loud for my neighborhood. Plus my lights stay on for a period after shutting the truck off and it enables the alarm. Thank you.

You would have to sever the wiring that is going to the backup alarm part of Curt Trailer Connector # C57101. You should be able to access the back of it by removing the screws that hold the alarm in place.
