Recommended Hitch for a 2023 Chevy Malibu

Question:

I am getting a 2023 Chevy Malibu and I would like a hitch to use my Thule bike rack. It requires a 1-1/4" hitch. Is there something available for my car?

Yes, there is. You will want the Curt Trailer Hitch item # C12185. This hitch is custom fit and bolts to your 2023 Chevy Malibu with included hardware.

This is a class II hitch with a 1-1/4" receiver. It has a 3,000 lbs towing capacity, and a 350 lbs maximum tongue weight. It will work great with your Thule bike rack.

I have linked a couple of pictures below along with an installation video so you can see what this hitch looks like when installed.

If you are planning on towing you will also need a wiring harness item # C56313 for the Premier models or item # C56387 for the standard models and the Draw-Tite Drawbar item # 3593 and then for hitch balls item # 19258 for a 2 inch ball or item # 19256 for a 1-7/8 inch ball.
