Yes, you can install a Class V trailer hitch on your 2014 Ram 1500. Curt hitch # C15572 is rated a Class V, but it has a 2 inch receiver. The tongue weight capacity is 1,500 pounds, and the gross trailer weight capacity is 15,000 pounds. You will need to stay within the capacities of the truck though since it is rated lower than the hitch. I have included links to the instructions and a video showing a typical installation for you.
I also recommend etrailer ball mount kit # EBMK2416. it comes with a ball mount, 2 balls, a hitch pin with clip, and a storage bag. And if you need to add trailer wiring use # 118384 which is a fit as long as you have a factory 7-way.
