Recommended Replacement Wheel and Tire for a H78-15 Tire
Question:
Good morning, I currently have H78-15 tires on a trailer and I will be looking to replace all 4 of them with new rims and tires. Im thinking your Item number AM32424 may be the correct one for me. This trailer is used to move equipment for a landscaping company. The most weight on the trailer would be 8000 pounds. Thank you!

Good morning! The modern equivalent of the H78-15 tires are 225/75R15. The item # AM32424 you were looking at are a ST205/75R15 so they would be a little smaller. These will work they are just going to be 1.2" shorter in diameter and 0.8" more narrow. This is a load range D tire with a maximum capacity of 2,150 lbs per tire at 65 psi.
If you do not want to go to a smaller tire you will need the Dexstar Steel Mini Mod Trailer Wheel item # AM20545 and the Provider ST225/75R15 Radial Trailer Tire item # TTWTRTM2257515D. There isn't a wheel tire combo available in this size with a black rim. This is also a load range D tire but it has a slightly higher capacity at 2,540 lbs at 65 psi.
