If Trailer Sticker and Tire Sidewall List Two Different PSI Rating Which to Go By
Question:
I have a new-to-me 2018 Forest River A-frame Camper with a GVWR of 3312#. It has Reliance Radial ST tires with a load range D @ 81MPH max. The trailer specifies 50PSI for the tires. Other info I read says max the pressure out @ 65PSI and some refer to bias ply tires. I understand the heat issue, but these are radial tires. So, Im confused. Wouldnt the mfg spec be more appropriate? What is the best PSI for this?

Expert Reply:
Yes, tire manufacturer spec would be the proper PSI to use for your current tires. The list on the trailer itself is for what the trailer came with but it's very common for people to go with a different tire so at that point it would no longer be relevant.
