Replacement Hardware For Trailer Hitch On A 2004 Ford Explorer Sport Trac

Question:

Looking to buy the hardware to install your draw tight max for a 2004 Ford Sport Trac. It was on my truck when I bought it, but they had removed it and said they cut it off and ruined the bolts to install. Would like to have you help me with the right kit. I am 70 and having trouble finding the correct kit. Thank you.

There are two options of trailer hitches that are confirmed for your 2004 Ford Explorer Sport Trac so first you will need to find out which one you currently have. There is the Draw-Tite Hitch # 75112 and the Curt Hitch # 13407. When you find out which one you have you will need to order the Replacement Hardware Kit # RHK. When you get to the hardware kit page you will see a box that asks for the hitch item number depending on which hitch you have you will have to type in the part number I mentioned before. So if you have the Draw-Tite type in 75112 if you have the Curt type in 13407, then add to cart.

If you ever plan on towing a trailer you will also need the 4-Pole Hardwire Kit with Circuit Tester # 18252 and the Curt Towing Starter Kit # C45554.

I linked two installation videos below. One on the Draw-Tite hitch being installed onto a 2003 Ford Explorer Sport Trac, and the other of the Curt hitch being installed onto a 2002 Ford Explorer Sport Trac. Both installations will be the same for your 2004 Ford Explorer Sport Trac. If you have any further questions please feel free to reach back out to me anytime and I would be more than happy to further assist you in your future towing endeavors.
