The best trailer hitch option for a 2020 Ford Edge is the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver part # e36RR which offers a custom bolt-on fit without any drilling required. It has a hidden design so you'll only be able to see the receiver under the vehicle, not the crosstube which makes for the best overall appearance. It will work great for hitch mounted accessories or towing.
If you will be towing then you'll also need a few other items such as a wiring harness, I recommend the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # C73FR with provides a 4-way and can be upgraded to a 7-way using the 4 to 7-Way with 4-Way Adapter part # ETBC7L for trailers with brakes. This kit then provides you with everything you need to install a wireless trailer brake controller like the Curt Echo Mobile Trailer Brake Controller part # C51180.
In order to complete your setup, you'll just need a ball mount and hitch ball for which I recommend the Curt Towing Starter Kit for 2" Hitches part # C45534.
