Parts Needed to Add 7-Way to 2022 Hyundai Santa Cruz
Question:
2022 Hyundai Santa Cruz Seeking towing PnP towing harness for GF's small pickup. Check with Hyundai deals on east coast shows factory harness not approved by FEDS. Need for towing a small tear trailer with less than 3.5K weight that is wired for battery charge of solar panels. Teardrop trailer has a battery that has to have enroute charging so the solar panels will be ready upon arrival at destination. The trailer has a 7 blade plug.

You can add a 7-way to a 2022 Hyundai Santa Cruz, but there isn't a plug and play option. First you'd need to add a 4-way (which is actually plug in), then the 7-way, which will need to be hardwired. The correct parts are the following:
- 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # C59236
- Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller # ETBC7
You will first install the 4-flat, which will activate the trailer's lighting functions, and you'll then plug that into the 7-way that comes with the # ETBC7, which gives you the wiring, circuit breakers, and rest of the hardware needed for installation, and will allow the maintenance charge of a batteries.
