Was thinking of wiring a 7 pin trailer connector with only the power and ground wires to connect to a house battery in the bed of my truck. 22 Ram 1500 e-torque Can I use a battery isolator to disconnect the power when the ignition is off? Thanks,

Yes, a battery isolation solenoid would allow you to cut the power from your start battery when the ignition is off, but wiring it to only cut the power to 7-way on the rear of your Ram could be a bit tricky. You wouldn't want to kill everything in the truck so you'd most likely to need run a wire from the isolator back to the 7-way and splice it into the 12v wire before the socket.
You can test the wires in your 7-way to find the 12v wire with a tester like # PTW2993 and you'll want to use a heat shrink butt connector like # DW05745-5 to help protect the connection point from any water damage.
Another option we offer for DC to DC charging is the Redarc In-Vehicle BCDC Battery Charger # RED96FR, which will connect to your Ram's starting battery and only charge the house battery while the truck is running. There are multiple amperage options for these to fit your specific needs so if this is something that interests you I can help find the right one for you with a bit more information on your power needs.
