Recommended Curt Trailer Hitch For A 2023 Jeep Gladiator Rubicon

Question:

I just purchased a new 2023 Jeep Gladiator and I am interested in installing a trailer hitch on it. My Jeep Gladiator is the Rubicon edition and see that you offer two different Curt Hitches. Which one should I choose both look very similar.

Out of the two Curt Trailer hitches, I recommend The Curt Trailer Hitch # C74DR. I like this hitch over the other Curt hitch because it has a more traditional installation and will attach to the frame of your 2023 Jeep Gladiator Rubicon when the Curt Trailer Hitch # CU74FR attaches to the Gladiator's rear bumper cover and will secure through the rear cross member. I will attach pictures of the installations below. The Curt Hitch # C74DR also has a higher towing capacity at 7,500 pounds and tongue weight capacity being 750 pounds. It also allows you to use a weight distribution hitch if you need one.

I also recommend installing The Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness # C56407. This harness includes a powered tail light converter that will connect directly to your battery to avoid overloading your vehicle's electrical system. You will also need The Curt Towing Starter Kit # C45554 which includes an 8-1/4 inch long, powder coated ball mount with a pre-torqued hitch ball; hitch pin and clip; hitch receiver lock with keys; hitch cover; and a storage case.

I linked an installation video below on the Curt Wiring Harness being installed onto a 2021 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. The installation process will be very similar to your 2023 Jeep Gladiator Rubicon. If you have any further questions please feel free to reach back out to me anytime and I will be more than happy to further assist you in your towing endeavors.
