Curt Trailer Hitch vs. etrailer Trailer Hitch For 2023 Kia Sorento
Question:
Can you tell me what the difference is between the Curt and etrailer trailer hitches for the 2023 Kia Sorento?

Expert Reply:
The only difference between the Curt and etrailer trailer hitches for your 2023 Kia Sorento is the finish. The etrailer hitch sports a matte black finish, while the Curt hitch has a glossier finish, so you can choose which you prefer. The hitches that fit your '23 Sorento are the following part numbers:
- etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e28AR
- Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # e28AR
The matte black finish is nice as it hides the inevitable dings, scuffs and scratches better than a glossy finish, but if you don't feel strongly either way about the finish (which most people don't) then just go with the best price. Otherwise, these are the exact same hitch with the same 4,000 lb towing/600 lb tongue weight capacities, bolt-on installation, and hidden crosstube so only the receiver is showing.
