Troubleshooting a Furrion Vision S Camera That Is Not Getting Power When Mounted
Question:
We have a 2020 F150 truck. We bought the Furrion S that was recommended for our Rockwood Mini Lite 2516S Tow trailer. If we plug the camera into the extra outlet on the 12 v cord it works fine. When the camera is mounted pairing fails. There is no blue light on the camera. It seems to be no different if the truck is running or not. The camper is plugged into the truck. There were 2 times while camera was mounted that the rear view picture came up on the monitor with truck turned off. As soon as truck was turned on it disappeared. Please advise/troubleshoot Thank you

Since the Furrion Vision S Wireless RV Backup Camera System # FOS43TASF works when it is plugged into the extra 12v outlet, it sounds like the camera system is fine and that you are not getting power to it when mounted.
Typically the camera system is tied into the running light circuit. More times than not, when the camera is mounted and not getting power it is because the headlights are not turned on. Try turning on your headlights and seeing if that powers the camera.
If that does not solve the issue, then you camera may be wired to a different circuit. In which case you would need to identify what circuit that is and ensure it is getting power.
