How To Find Out If You Have Overload Springs for B&W Gooseneck Hitch on 1986 Ford F-250/F-350
Question:
How to I know if I need overload springs for my truck?

In regards to a 1986 Ford F-250/F-350, the overload spring is one that sits above the main spring pack and does not extend the entire length of the main pack on either side. If you have this then you'll want to use the B&W Turnoverball Underbed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch part # BWGNRK1110 but if you don't you'll want to use the B&W Turnoverball Underbed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch part # BWGNRK1100.
I have attached a photo below which has the overload spring.
