How is Weight of Weight Distribution System Added to Figure for Overall Tongue Weight
Question:
How do you calculate the addition of the tongue weight from a weight distribution system? Add the weight of the dist. system and tongue weight of camper to tow vehicle?

It sounds a little weird but the weight of the weight distribution system isn't added to any of the calculations since it's the tool doing the work and distributing the weight between all of the axles involved in the towing setup.
So even though a system like the 6K Equal-i-zer # EQ37060ET weighs in at about 95 lbs you won't be adding that to anything - just the loaded tongue weight of your trailer as well as any weight behind the rear axle of your tow vehicle.
