Weight Distribution Hitch For A Lance 1685 With 425lbs Tongue Weight And Gross Weight Of 5500 lbs
Question:
I have purchased a 1685 Lance - weight 3900 give up to 5500 - the tw is listed as 425 lbs but articles say loaded add 10 to 15 so up to 500 to 550 lbs? I would like weight dis hitch with anti sway . So far have narrowed to Anderson hitch or Equalizer 600 lb tw and 6000 gvw. But am concerned about some Anderson poor reports and Equailzer noise- what do you suggest regarding these choices or is there a better option. Thanks

I am not that familiar with the Anderson Hitch but I am familiar with the Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution System Item # EQ37060ET. I have installed the Equalizer system many times and my family uses it. I recommend it for your Lance 1685 if you think you can get used to the noise.
To be honest, the only way you wouldn't hear any thing from a weight distribution system is if it had chains. The chain systems are for 10,000lb trailers though. I know it can be loud at times but, you get used to it, and the way I see it is if you can hear it, it's doing what it is supposed to. The sound is the bars rubbing on the friction pads which is the sway control.
