Will Thule T2 Classic Bike Rack Clear Rear 2019 Subaru Crosstrek Bumper with Curt Hitch Installed
Question:
I was looking at the T2 classic and distance from pin hole to folded tray is noted as 3.5. I was also looking at the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class II - 1-1/4 inch Item # C12184. This hitch is 2.25 inch from pin to rear of bumper. My question is whether the 3.5 inch measurement is to the rail or also accounts for the plastic tire trays. In short will this combination of hitch and rack on a 2019 Subaru Crosstrek contact the rear bumper in the closed position. I am most concerned about the trays that hold the tire, I had this rack on a 2005 Acura TL and that was the issue. Thank you.

With the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C12184 installed you will have about 1-1/4" from the closest part of the Thule T2 Classic Bike Rack # TH9045 to your 2019 Subaru Crosstrek. From what I can tell that is one of the wheel trays but if any other part of the rack is closer to the vehicle then that's where the 3-1/2" of clearance we're talking about comes into play - so you definitely have enough clearance!
