Can I Remove a Leaf From the Bottom of a 4-Leaf Slipper Spring

should be able to remove the bottom leaf from the 4 to make it a 3 leaf slipper no probs??

Eh, yeah, don't do that.

The weight capacity of the leaf spring will definitely be affected but it will be reduced to an unknown capacity so if you were to remove a leaf from say part # SP-231275 that has a 5,000 lb capacity then you would essentially be playing with fire when it comes to that leaf spring working properly.

You need to keep the leaf springs completely intact and make sure they match whatever other leaf springs are on your trailer, plus whatever you do to one side of an axle you need to do to the other for a safe trailering setup.
