Axle Replacement For a Boat Trailer With 3,500LB Axle With V-Shape For Boat Hull

Question:

I have been searching for a 3500# square, v shaped axle for my boat trailer. The hub face is 85” but spring centers are 71”. All I can find in an 85” hub face is a spring center of 70”. Is there any forgiveness for the spring center measurement?

We do have the Timbren Heavy-Duty Axle-Less Trailer Suspension # TASR35HDS03 that you will be able to use for your boat trailer as we do not have any axles with the dimensions or design you are needing. These will replace your leaf springs and bolt to the frame. The hub face will be positioned 6-1/4" from the frame which is equivalent to your 85" hub face and 71" spring center. If you have an axle with the 81" hub face and 70" spring center that will work for your boat trailer you can remove the spring seats and have new Seats # TRSS238 welded on.

If you go with the Timbren system above you can pair them with an Idler Hub # 8-213-51UC1-EZ of Brake Drum Hub # AKHD-655-6-EZ-K. For brakes you can use the Electric Trailer Brake Kit # AKEBRK-7-SA or Hydraulic Trailer Brake Kit # AKFBBRK-7-D.
