Can Timbren Axle Less System Be Used on I Beam Trailer and with Disc Brakes

Question:

1. why are they not recommended for 3 axle trailers? 2. Will they work with I-beam trailers? 3. Drum brakes only? or did I miss the disc-brake option?

Triple axle trailer scrub tires pretty hard around corners which can put quite a bit of lateral force on the sides of the axle assemblies. The Timbren axles just are not rated to withstand that amount of force in that direction.

Installation of a Timren Axle Less like part # ASR3500S04 on I-Beam trailer frames is possible but will require you to basically box off the open end of the frame where the system will install so that it has something to install on.

Disc brakes can be used with the Timbren Axle-Less Suspension systems, however, Timbren does not offer an axle-less suspension kit with disc brakes. If you want to use disc brakes, I recommend buying the Axle-Less Suspension System - 3,500 lbs, # ASR3500S04, and the Kodiak Disc Brake Kit - 3,500 lbs, # K2HR35D. Buying the Timbren Axle-Less Suspension system without the hub and buying the disc brakes separately will save you money over buying a kit that includes a hub and buying the disc brakes separately.
