Typically, the tow package wiring is located along the frame rail or above the spare tire. The usual wire colors and their functions are as follows:

Dark blue- brake controller output voltage
Red or Orange- 12-volt accessory power
Yellow- left turn/brake lamp
Dark green-right turn/brake lamp
Brown- running lamps
White- ground

Further back in the wire loom there will be two more wires, light blue which provides a dedicated brake lamp signal for a camper shell and a light green wire for reverse lights.

If for some reason your wires colors are different, you would use a circuit tester like part # PTW2993 and activate each lighting function one by one, as you are testing the wires to determine which wire serves which function.

I have linked you to our Trailer Wiring FAQ article that you might find helpful.

If you are using the Pollak # PK11893 that you referenced, you will need a pigtail like part # PK11998.
