Connecting Electric Trailer Brake Wire on 2002 Chevrolet Silverado 1500
Question:
I have a 2002 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. I recently installed a 7 pole wiring harness on it from you guys. I am now installing a Hopkins Agility trailer brake control. Now my question is, the blue wire from the wiring harness I have not connected to anything, I have the adapter that plugs into the truck and into the brake controller. Is there an easy way of wiring in the blue wire from the harness at the rear of the truck or do I have to run it into the cab from the rear of the truck?? Thanks

In the tow package wire bundle located near the spare tire on your 2002 Chevrolet Silverado, there should be a darker blue wire to which you can connect the blue wire from your wire harness, # HM40975-11998, with a butt connector, # 05732-2.
If there is not a dark blue wire with your tow package wires, you will want to run a wire, # 10-1-1, from your wiring harness to your brake controller, # HM47294. Once inside the cab, you will need to cut the blue wire on your brake controller adapter and reconnect it with the wire you ran from the back.
