Parts Needed To Install Trailer Brake Controller and 7-Way Connector on a 2017 Nissan Titan
Question:
We have a 2017 Nissan Titan SV that does not have the factory tow package installed. What all wiring adapters, plugs, or harnesses would we need to install a 7 way plug and brake controller for a rear bumper hitch?

Even though your 2017 Nissan Titan SV did not come with a factory tow package installed the connectors are already going to be on your vehicle. For the 7-way you need the Factory Style 7-Way and 4-Way Flat Vehicle End Trailer Connector # N40975. This will connect to the factory connector behind the bumper of your Titan. It includes the necessary relays to add to your fuse box to activate the tow package.
For the brake controller I recommend the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 # 90195. This controller is proportional and has built in diagnostics to make troubleshooting issues easier. The LCD screen is easy to read an customizable for the user. A Pigtail # 3050-P is needed to connect to the factory connector and make wiring plug and play.
