How to Set Up the Tekonsha Primus IQ Trailer Brake Controller
Question:
Can you help me adjust the primus iq p2 .it was installed at camping world. they could not adjust the contrller because the trailer was not there to hook up for the adjustments. if you could help me i can do it this weekend where the trailer is stored. I would sicerely appreciate any hepl

Set up of the Tekonsha Primus IQ, # TK90160, is very easy and straight forward. What you will do is connect to the trailer and tow it to a open, flat surface. Start by adjusting the power output to the midpoint on the controller and make sure the boost is off.. Tow the trailer at about 20 miles per hour and then fully apply the manual override.
If the trailer brakes lock up then adjust the power down. If they do not lock up adjust the power higher. You well need to repeat the test until you get the setting just right to where the brakes are just under lock up.
