Drill Bit Recommendation for Installing the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver
Question:
Is there a recommended combination of drill bit brand/type to use for the access hole? Do you recommend a cutting oil of some kind to use with it? Broke two metal hole saws attempting to install this and looking for any recommendations on making the job easier.

When installing the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver, # 75673 on your 2018 Subaru Legacy, There is need to drill two on either side of the heat shield fastener location. I suggest using a quality step drill bit that is commonly found at big box store home improvement location or local hardware store. This is the best option for drilling into sheet metal in my opinion. This design of drill bit has more mass and is less likely to break relative to the more common design drill bit.
