So both of the part numbers you mentioned are going to be rated too highly for your trailer that has a GVWR (which is the combined dry weight and max cargo capacity) of nearly 6,800 lbs. A trailer of this weight will have a loaded tongue weight of 800 to 850 lbs, and the correct TrackPro or TruTrack for that tongue weight is the following:

- Curt TruTrack Weight Distribution System w/ Sway Control # C17500

- Blue Ox TrackPro Weight Distribution w/ Sway Control # BLU77FR

Both of these are rated for total tongue weights between 800 lbs and 1,000 lbs, while the other systems were rated for more than 1,000 lbs. That said, while the two hitches are similar in a number of ways, between the two I recommend the Blue TrackPro # BLU77FR.

The first reason for that is value - the Blue Ox is simply a better value than the Curt. It also has a unique method of sway control in the hitch head as it is a positive caster angle. Basically, what that means is the hitch head has a slight angle built into it that helps the hitch - and thus your trailer - constantly self-center. So when there is sway, the TrackPro combats it with both the self-centering head and the tension on the spring bars.

And finally, there is the warranty; the Blue Ox # BLU77FR has a lifetime warranty while the Curt has a 10-year warranty. While I do not expect either to be needed, it's nice to have that peace of mind that the manufacturer stands by their product so robustly, and that you're covered no matter what.
