As far as wiring, I recommend the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # 118494 (if you do not have a factory tow package) or the # 118264 (if you have the factory tow package). With these harnesses, you will add brake lights, turn signals, and running light functionality to your trailer. If you plan on adding a brake controller, you need the additional Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller - 7-Way RV and 4-Way Flat - 10 Gauge Wires # ETBC7.

To add a brake controller, I recommend the Curt Echo # C51180. The Echo is a proportional controllers which means that it activates the trailer brakes in proportion to your vehicle's braking action. The Voyager is more of a traditional-style controller that requires mounting into the dashboard of your vehicle near the steering wheel. Additionally, the Curt Echo allows you to control the settings of your controller with the ease of your Smart device. It also doesn't require any additional wiring for installation.
