Complete Flat Tow Setup For A 2018 Ford F-150 King Ranch 4x4

Question:

I just bought a 29’ class A motor home, 2011 Newmar Bay Star 2901. The previous owner gave me the flat tow system that he was using. I have the Blue Ox Alpha tow bar BX7365 and the tow vehicle connecting pins. He also gave me the Brake Buddy Digital Classic #39499 system. I just bought a 2018 Ford F-150 King Ranch 4x4 Crew Cab. I need to know what I need to install on this truck to complete this flat tow system. I assume that I need the frame baseplate connection and wiring? Can you please help me with the items I need to get? I’d rather not buy a new tow bar, if this one will work! Thank you

To complete a flat towing setup for your 2018 Ford F-150:

You can use the Blue Ox Base Plate Kit # BO74FR, which is compatible with the Blue Ox Alpha 2 Non-Binding Tow Bar # BX7380 that you mention.

To adapt the Brake Buddy Classic 3 Portable Supplemental Braking System # HM39494 to your Ford F-150, you're going to also need:

-The Replacement Breakaway System for Brake Buddy Classic and Select Supplemental Braking Systems # HM39340.

&

-The Replacement Dash Mount Connector for Brake Buddy Classic and Select Supplemental Braking Systems # HM39342.

Along with the braking system, tow bars, and a base plate, you're also going to need wiring, like the Roadmaster 4-Diode Universal Wiring Kit for Towed Vehicles # RM-152-1676-7, and a high-low adapter like # RM-048-4.

You're going to want to measure your rise and drop needed for your 2018 Ford F-150, before you commit on purchasing one. I've attached a FAQ detailing how you can measure your rise and drop.
